The importance of finding presence has to be experienced:
You wonder how you can lead in these challenging times. Or ow you can still make a difference, how you can change things at least a little bit for the better? How can you find presence amidst all this distraction?
But you’re too busy scrolling through social media, the news or any other platform and you end up feeling paralysed – or you give in to inertia.
But hey, you have a choice. You don’t need more tips, you don’t need more social media doom scrolling… but you do need to be there and open your eyes.
How about being more present. Being fully there and aware.
Sounds so simple, yet nowadays it seems like the ultimate achievement.
Don’t believe me? Next time you’re in a public space, be it a cafe, a train, even just walking down the street, notice: How many people do you see literally succumbing to an electronic device in their hand? Too preoccupied with FOMO to notice the life around them.
Too busy worrying about the future.
How does that affect your leadership? How are you leading if you struggle finding presence?
How does it affect the people around you if you can’t find moments of stillness? Moments to be with whatever thoughts or emotions arise, without judgement?
Imagine the possibilities if you could lead with clarity, conviction, compassion and presence rather than pressure?
Imagine the impact you can have,
the sense of agency you can have,
and the relief from that critical inner voice.
Ready to talk when you are.
