How to be the solution in a world of problems

Can you really be the solution right now? A lot of what’s going on politically is leaving me, and I’m sure many others, stunned and even shocked.

I read one too many news articles this week and realised how it has the potential to paralyse me. This feeling of overwhelm by the world’s problems comes from a belief in separation – the idea that ‘I’ am here and the problem is ‘over there’ and there’s nothing I can do to bridge the gap.

And that’s the way it’s set up.
So what can you do?

As with many of life’s challenges, people tend to look for solutions that they can be part of or that they can implement. However, this time it may be that you need to be the solution.

Staying put is not an option. And fear can be conquered.

What you may not have is the clarity you’re looking for right now. But beneath all the mental chatter, the clarity is there. It is underneath your mind telling you how difficult and hopeless things are.

And if you don’t know where to start?

Try this: Watch your thoughts without judging them. See how these thoughts tell stories of fear and anxiety that have nothing to do with you. This can help to bring you back into the present. And presence is what you need to be clear.
