Intuition in leadership

In the corporate world there is often a stigma around topics that could be seen as spiritual, some things are regarded as outright woo-woo. Even if i.e. meditation has widely grown in acceptance.

What do you do when you need to come up with ideas? When you have a conversation where you wan to convince someone? How about that team meeting in which you’re supposed to inspire and come across as charismatic? lThe corporate solution: Make slides. Fill them with data and present a logical argument.

But what about those moments of inspiration that seem to come out of nowhere? Or your gut feeling?

How artists describe their process

Artists often speak openly about their own creation process:
– “It always feels bigger than me as a person. I step into my art form, and I serve. You really have to do that. The muses know if you don’t”. Tori Amos
– “(..) you need to get the idea down, before it goes back to wherever it came from (..)” Steven Spielberg
– “Your job isn’t to find ideas, it is to recognize them.” Stephen King
– “If I’m not there to receive these ideas, God will give them to Prince.” Michael Jackson

These people are/were not afraid to acknowledge the role of intuition and inspiration in their creative process. They trust their gut and instincts, and they allow themselves to be guided by a deeper wisdom.

What if that success were possible in your corporate career as well? What if it’s not only about logic and numbers? If you listen to your gut, if you listen to your intuition .. what might change for you? When you blend out the noise or even the nay-sayers. Inspiration will show up.

When you act form a place of presence, and pure awareness, it might be possible just as much for you.
