Better decisions through presence

The pressure to be right on every decision can be paralysing. Decisions can be better through presence.

You probably have to make more decisions every day than you can count.

So how do you avoid giving in to pressure, inertia or procrastination?

What if it’s about being more present?

More being than doing?

I see a lack of time in my clients’ schedules and an urge to fill every moment with to-dos. And this busyness obscures the clarity they need to make decisions. rue presence, however, offers a counterpoint. It’s the ability to pause, to create a space between the stimulus and the response. In that space, intuition can arise, and a deeper understanding of the situation emerges.

Decision-making becomes less about frantic calculation and more about allowing the right choice to surface. It’s not about escaping the decision, but about entering it with a calm, focused mind, where the ‘right’ answer often reveals itself organically.

Presence offers a way through.

Not rocket science, but not an easy start either.

I usually recommend starting by taking moments for yourself (even just 5 minutes), no distractions, no activity, just sitting in silence. See what thoughts or feelings come up, don’t judge them.

You’ll be surprised what you can discover.
