“But – you don’t know about that kind of job. You have no idea about this industry.”

Those are doubts that I am confronted with as a coach at times. There is a misconception that I need to know about industries or jobs in order to be of better help.

But that is not what coaching is all about. As a coach I am not here to advise or analyse my clients’ work or workplaces. I am here to help them think, articulate thoughts and find solutions to their problems.

A transformative work.

And it works regardless of industry, position, hierarchical level.

Imagine you go to a life coach. Is it because they are an expert in life? Who would have taught them that?

Coaching is about actively listening and reflecting. I need to focus on what you say, hear it, understand it. And tell you in my own words what you said to me. This is where the magic happens.
