Facing Difficulties

Can I help you face these difficult times with calm, integrity and agency? Yes.

Right now you can open any newspaper, news site or even social media and what you will read about is Trump’s tariffs and how much worse things could get.

The longer this goes on, the louder the voices of people opposing his trade tariffs and warning of the dire consequences for the global economy.

Even I feel these moments of momentary stress when thinking about this all.

But I have a choice, I can keep scrolling and reloading the news (like every 5 minutes) or I can let it go. Because right now there is absolutely nothing I can do about it. I never will. I have no idea what will happen, maybe Trump will reverse everything or maybe he will even increase his measures.

Who knows.

The question is, how do YOU not get caught up in it? How do you quiet your mind? Because you definitely can.

Sometimes I wonder why people need Netflix when there is so much drama that the mind creates every day. Story after story. Some so powerful that you lie awake at night thinking about what you believe to be true at the time.

I know that some of my blog or Linkedin posts may seem rather philosophical or even spiritual in a way. But strictly speaking, I believe they are neither.

I’ve started to share my own experiences in the hope that it will inspire some. I’ve wanted to share stories that show how observing your thoughts, not judging them and even detachment from the outcome will bring you success and joy.

And as a leader, it will allow you to act with calm and agency.

Right now you have to face the responsibility of your job, your team, your decisions, and it can easily feel many times bigger or harder than it didn’t before.

Now is the time to be fully present. To act from a place of presence and calm rather than nervousness or pressure.

It’s possible for you too. Right now. Not in some distant, elusive good future.

Let’s talk this week.
