The typical self-employed workday while building my business? Working from cozy cafes with a flat white and a croissant?
I wish – (ok, not really though).
In reality, most day I work from home, spending a lot of time on video calls.
And to be honest, that can be a lonely thing.
Let’s face it. Being self-employed comes with a lot of freedom. The freedom to chose who I work with, when I work, what kind of work I take on.
But it’s not constantly as easy or fun, as it might suggest.
It also means being disciplined, finding time for things I enjoy outside of work. It also means thinking about ways to acquire clients, putting myself out there, dealing with rejections, pushing my boundaries.
It can be exhausting.
It can also be incredibly rewarding.
Even after 7 years in senior marketing roles, marketing myself is a challenge on another level.
Next week I’ll start a new project, a group session for people who need a break but aren’t sure how to make it happen.
And I am very excited about this. The energy of group work is very unique and so impactful.
If you’re looking to finally feel some weight lifted off you, let’s talk.
Wishing everyone a great day!
