Be yourself, motivate

Clients often tell me they want to lead and be the way they are. Yet, once they arrive at work it seems they simply forget who they are and how to show up.

It’s a common challenge in the professional world. Many individuals aspire to lead authentically, to bring their whole selves to their roles, and to manage teams in a way that’s true to their values.

But, the pressures of the workplace—whether it’s corporate culture, expectations of conformity, or the perceived need for a professional façade—can make it difficult for individuals to remain true to their personal style of leadership.

This disconnect between personal values and professional behaviour can lead to a sense of dissatisfaction. And, even, inauthentic leadership. When leaders aren’t able to “show up” as themselves, it can also impact their ability to connect with their teams, which is crucial for building trust and inspiring others. Human leadership is also being true to yourself.

Which brings me to another common issue that I should help with: How to motivate a team? How to inspire them? Well there you have it. “Be yourself” is crucial first step.

Unsure how to be yourself? Let’s talk.
